Jaeryoung Lee
Composer/Arranger/Pianist/Vocalist/Music Educator
Jaeryoung Lee, an active performer and music educator, took her first piano lesson at the age of six. After Jaeryoung completed her B.A. in Social Studies, she earned two Master’s degrees: Master of Arts in Piano Pedagogy (classical music emphasis) and Master of Music in Jazz Performance.
She has appeared in many different venues from classical to jazz as a pianist, vocalist, accompanist, band supporter, band leader and musical director. Jaeryoung has been the musical director of Off-Broadway Menopause The Musical® by San Diego Repertory Theatre in 2007. As a jazz pianist/vocalist, she has been performing with phenomenal musicians, including Peter Sprague, Vinny Golia, Bill Watrous and Maestro Jung-ho Pak.
In addition to performing, she has been teaching various levels of Class Piano for music majors and non music majors as well, Music Appreciation, World Music, Music Theory, Music for Elementary School Teachers, Choir, Show Choir, and Class Voice for Jazz Vocalist. She is currently a faculty member at San Diego Mesa College and MiraCosta College, CA
